Meet one of the MAC’s newest trainers, Tom Jennings.

Tom brings 25 years of experience to our club community.  From working with professional athletes and organizations to running his own fitness companies, Tom has the expertise that our members will be able to use to help reach their fitness goals.

“I am originally from a small farm town in northwest Indiana called Rensselaer.  My father was a football coach at a small Division II school and I always wanted to be involved with sports. An athletic training career gave me an opportunity to stay involved with sports as well as help people recover from injuries. My undergraduate studies were at Butler in Indianapolis and my graduate degree was at Temple University in Philadelphia. I was fortunate to work for three years at St.Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, training for the men’s basketball team in the Division I Atlantic 10 conference. Following my time at St.Joseph’s, I returned to my home state of Indiana to work with the Indiana Pacers in the NBA. I got to work with great coaches like Larry Bird, Rick Carlisle and Isiah Thomas, as well as work with legendary athletes like Reggie Miller, Sam Perkins, Chris Mullin among many others.

Following my NBA career, I started my own post-rehabilitation business called O’Fit. We helped athletes of all ages and levels recover from injury and increase their performance. It was tough to sell the company I built from scratch but being able to create something and sell it validates all the hard work and effort poured into the business. During my 10 years at O’Fit, I also created a therapy and fitness product line called Therawheel. This product was created to target and relieve tight muscles by rolling wedge-shaped wheels on the affected areas. Likewise, the product can also be used for fitness exercises like push ups, planks and squats.

My goal for training our community of members at the MAC is to provide safe, efficient and effective exercise to help people recover from injuries and to achieve their fitness goals and potential. Away from the club, I enjoy time with my family including my wife Aimee, a health care professional, and three daughters Bridgette (14), Fiona (12), Jojo (9). We like exploring all the outdoor activities the PNW has to offer including paddle boarding, biking, and hiking. I enjoy running and biking and just completed my first Ironman in Whistler, Canada.”
